<guest9023_web>: Clem, I sent a email at 30th of November which was a letter that requested to update all Korean translated texts for Linux Mint 17.1, fix four glitches which was reported by our member, bagjjungyu and upload Korean user manual on the website. If you have a time, please read it and apply all requests that we are eagerly needed.
<guest9023_web>: You can find more details on that email.
<clem>: hi guest9023_web
<clem>: I'm not sure I understand the issue..
<clem>: let's do the easy thing first, can you send me the ODT and PDF for the user guide?
<guest9023_web>: How about translation? We've done translation for most of texts except 4 due to glitch.
<clem>: yes I'm looking at them
<guest9023_web>: Got it.
<guest9023_web>: When it's done?
<clem>: LP won't let me approve them
<clem>: format specifications in 'msgid' and 'msgstr' for argument 1 are not the sameformat specifications in 'msgid' and 'msgstr' for argument 2 are not the same
<guest9023_web>: Yup. We suffered from that error during the translation process
<clem>: you'll need to contact the LP admin for this, I've no idea what to do )
<RevetcoFX>: guest9023_web, oh, were you the person who mentioned that issue on google+ ?
<guest9023_web>: Hmm... nope. It was reported by bagjjungyu who is in our member (I'm in a same group too so I was able to know that issue).
<guest9023_web>: The group name is Linux Mint Korean Translation
<RevetcoFX>: guest9023_web, this person was having the exact same issue https://plus.google.com/101028813073033149665/posts/2K3six1kwqE
<guest9023_web>: Our member is still suffering that issue .
<RevetcoFX>: could this have to do with the input method?
<GitHub126>: [cinnamon-control-center] leigh123linux opened pull request #97: color: Do not set the 'View Details' button for virtual profiles. (master...master) http://git.io/weoO-g
<guest9023_web>: Hmm... not sure since I'm not using it yet. However, whenever we tried to apply our suggestions or original one on these texts, we couldn't do to so due to that glitch that Clem mentions above.
<clem>: guest9023_web, ok it's fixed
<clem>: I applied the translations from Marlin/Nautilus
<clem>: guest9023_web, can you make sure that doesn't break Nemo in Korean?
<clem>: guest9023_web, other than that I updated the translations on 2014.11.23, basically just before the release went out
<guest9023_web>: Thank you Clem!
<clem>: it's amongst the very last things I updated
<clem>: I'm sorry some of your work didn't make it in, but whenever I update the translations I'll always get that snapshot at a particular time and whoever's not finished by then won't make it in..
<clem>: the guys translating for hungarian were in the same boat, they finished just a day or two after we froze
<clem>: we released on the 30th though... count 2 days of release mgmt, 2 or 3 for QAs... 23th of Nov was pretty late already
<clem>: ideally we wouldn't even update translations post-RC in case they break something (that was the case pre-RC for 17... German translations of MDM prevented German users from logging in!)
<clem>: with that said, we can update them again at the end of the month
<guest9023_web>: Got it. So, you are going to update the translation that was done after 23rd of November at the end of the month (December)?
<clem>: as long as we don't start developing a lot yet for 17.2, they'll be in sync with 17.1 and we can update them again
<clem>: yes that should give everyone enough time
<guest9023_web>: I'm really being appriciated with ya! I hope that the rest of the translation will be updated before the next year so Korean user who aren't familiar with English is able to use it easily.
